DDR X is the latest instalment from the iconic Dancing Stage series. The brand has been renamed worldwide to DanceDanceRevolution, not just in the arcades, but in the home versions too; the purpose of this is to create global synergy in the brand.

The first noticeable difference with DDR X in comparison to previous models is the makeover the cabinet has received. Decorated in eye-catching decals and supporting a 37” wide screen LCD, it is more impressive than ever before. The software itself has been boosted, with many new tracks taking the total number of songs to almost 400!

The machine also contains USB functionality that players can use to create their own dance steps. This feature allows players to create their own dance routines to a song of their choice at home using a dedicated webpage. This service allows the players to save the routine as a file onto their own personal USB storage device, for use in the arcades. This new feature has been implemented to attract new players and also add value for existing players.
